School Visits

schoolLast week 6 of our Pre-school children had their first visit to their new school settings. The children all really enjoyed their quality time with their key person. The children were very happy and confident to go and explore their new environment and chose to explore in a group, which was lovely to watch and see the close bonds they have built up.

The children explored the pirate ship through climbing and role playing. They also enjoyed role playing in the home corner. The children had a lovely opportunity to talk to their new teacher’s Mrs Houda and Miss Tomkow whilst enjoying a healthy snack.

This was also a great opportunity for us as key persons to talk to the teachers about the children and how they can support the children in the transition to school. When it was time to leave the children were a little reluctant as they had had such a lovely time. Whilst on our way back to nursery Daniel said ‘I have had a lovely day’. Mrs Houda and Miss Tomkow will be coming into nursery in the near future to visit and to build further relationships with the children.
